I’m Jan Aertsen, advisor, mentor, vice president, blogger, amateur musician, podcaster, comics collector and avid hiker.  I run kJube BV & SRL, my own consulting business, since over 20 years and have worked in Europe, America and Asia.

I bring an uncommon perspective to professional services and customer success, having more than thirty years’ experience as a developer, consultant, architect, project manager, manager, director and VP in the IT consulting business both in small boutique system integrators, big four consulting firms and the enterprise software world.

Between 2003 and 2011, I ran my own consulting company kJube, getting companies started with business intelligence, advanced analytics, data science and AI in the midst of the internet revolution, the open source wave and the cloud revolution. That led me to start working with Silicon Valley enterprise start-ups to help them build their professional services and customer success business in EMEA and APAC.

Between 2011 and 2018 I worked with Pentaho to scale out their business in EMEA and APAC. We grew the business from 20m$ to 110m$ until it’s acquisition by Hitachi.

Since 2018 I’m at Neo4j and help scale out the professional services part of their business. Neo4j has grown from 30m$ to over 200mio$ since and went through various stages of maturity.
